Director of Talent Acquisition

 

Tradeblock is the #1 Sneaker Trading Platform and Community. The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for building a vertical focused on sourcing, screening and recommending candidates for Tradeblock positions. This team member must understand, model and represent the Tradeblock core values and culture. She/He will identify opportunities to build applicant pools, establish trust and partnerships with all levels of management, and support a positive new hire experience. 

 

Developing and executing recruitment plans and strategies are primary responsibilities to ensure hiring goals are met with the best possible talent. All activities must be in compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, ERISA and other regulations, as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with leaders, hiring managers and human resources team on position descriptions, hiring request creation, compensation and sourcing strategies for active and passive candidate recruiting.

  • Continuously develop networks/partnerships to actively build a database/pipeline of candidates and the Tradeblock brand. 

  • Recruit and perform talent acquisition activities such as resume & phone screens, candidate interviews, recommend final selection of applicants and close qualified candidates.

  • Place and update all job postings in various sourcing channels including internet sites, colleges, social networks, community boards, staffing partners while representing the company at recruiting events.

  • Communicate with managers and employees regularly to promote Tradeblock referral programs and internal opportunities for promotion.

  • Build and maintain internal talent systems, including but not limited to applicant tracking, recruiting reports, effectiveness of sourcing strategy, and other staffing administration functions as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of strategic human resources, talent acquisition and interviewing experience preferred.

  • Experience building teams from the ground up and demonstrating knowledge of various recruiting techniques, and experience in online/social media recruiting.

  • Experience recruiting for in tech spaces, product design, development, and marketing positions preferred but not required

  • Strong understanding of staffing principles, laws, and procedures and a solid working knowledge of recruitment/employment programs

  • Proven ability to communicate and effectively “sell” an organization’s value proposition.

  • Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Creative in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions to existing problems.

  • Knowledge of sneakers and sneaker culture preferred but not required
