(Milwaukee, WI) — adidas is joining forces with community icon and philanthropist Eric "Shake" James to launch the adidas Forum Low CL "DAY ONE", a tribute to enduring friendship, brotherhood and community support.

James, a prominent figure in the Milwaukee community and the driving force behind numerous charitable initiatives through his nonprofit organization Jay Academy and his work with the adidas Cornerstone Community initiative, finds inspiration in this collaborative silhouette through reflecting on his deep-rooted connections and meaningful experiences with his friends for life, or as James calls them, his "DAY ONE."

As James puts it, "To make a difference in the community, you must be an integral part of it. I emphasize to the youth that life is about choices, and when it comes to choosing your 'DAY ONE', choose wisely."

James's creative vision for the Forum Low CL, includes distinctive features like a split suede toecap and side panel, a full-grain leather body, eyestay and stripes, with a patent leather lower eyestay and heelcap. Behind the tongue of each shoe, you'll find a representation of a two-way pager, symbolizing James's past communication with his "DAY ONE" companions. Additionally, a basketball jewel adorns each lace system and the shoes are wrapped in a crossword motif, underscoring activities James and his "DAY ONE' bonded over.

James pays homage to the original sneaker culture and his hip-hop roots by including a microphone keychain, sticker pack, and an art print showcasing the shoes themselves.

In the spirit of friendship and community, on November 11 James will be launching both colorways of the "DAY ONE" shoes at his Clicks store at 1916 East Capitol Dr. in Shorewood, Wisconsin from 11am–3pm. The first 400 pairs purchased will come with a QR code that allows buyers to gift their own "DAY ONE" a pair of adidas sneakers. Attendees will also receive complimentary signed prints with each purchase. In addition, there will be a silent auction featuring artwork inspired by the shoes, with all proceeds benefitting the Jay Academy and Chef Adam Pawlak will be crafting a special menu for the event.

Those unable to attend can purchase the "DAY ONE" shoes at ClicksKicks.net.
